Project Overview

Aviva Auto Insurance (AAI) is a mobile app designed to help insurance agents simplify the insurance buying process. It combines all necessary information into one easy-to-use interface, making their work quicker and more efficient.

Problem Statement

AAI's old software was hard to use and not flexible, leading to low agent engagement and business losses. The transition to a web-based app faced technical problems, showing the need for a more user-friendly solution.

Goals of the Project

I aimed to create a platform that helps insurance agents deliver accurate and fast quotes to their clients. Our main goals were:

  1. Make a simple, easy-to-use mobile app so agents can work from anywhere.

  2. Ensure quotes are accurate, easy to change, and searchable.

  3. Break the quote process into clear, easy steps.

  4. Allow agents to quickly update and share quotes with customers.

My Role in the Project

As the sole designer, I interviewed insurance agents to understand their needs and challenges. I used this information to create, test, and improve prototypes, ensuring each version was better than the last. I managed everything from start to finish to develop an efficient and user-friendly app.

Tools

Figma, Notion, Figjam

Timeline

8 weeks

Research Insights

  • Agents need to provide quotes quickly but are slowed down by old systems.

  • Current software doesn't meet agents' needs.

  • Improving the quote creation process can help agents work better.

  • Agents' ideas and experiences were key in developing the Aviva Auto Insurance app.

  • Agents working directly with customers pushed for better tools.

User Persona

I created a user persona named Jack to represent new agents. This helped us understand their needs and challenges, so we could design a user-friendly and helpful app.

Journey Map

To understand the challenges new hires face, I created a journey map. This helped identify key areas where we could improve the quoting process and reduce errors.

Wireframing

I created wireframes to visualize the app's structure and design. This step helped us plan the layout and user flow before developing the final product.

Final & Revised Prototypes

The final designs for Aviva Auto Insurance after iterations made things easier and more efficient for agents.
